Decided: (of a quality) definite; unquestionable.
Hi there,
In case you didn't know, I'm a huge Napoleon Hill fan. Some call me the NH of this era (by some, I mean ME lol but we'll get there…).
There's something so profound about early philosophy and the science of success. I never get bored or tired reading any of his books or from other authors of that era (such as Charles F. Haanel).
Hill talks about having definiteness of purpose and it's something that has changed my life way before I even “met” my great mentor, Napoleon Hill.
Definiteness of purpose means that before you start working on a goal, you truly must be DECIDED. You have to know the end result of what you are working on before hand. It's not enough to loosely toss a target and say I think maybe this would be it… no, you must be DECIDED.
That means you know your goal, where you are aiming, and what exact result you are working towards to be/do/have/ experience.
This is what trips so many up.
They get flustered with “not knowing" exactly what they want (when actually they really do know, but there's a programming of it's not possible that's overriding their desire).
Then, their brain steps in and starts offering un-helpful advice about what is possible for them. (this is just current ability v. your actual CAPABILITY!)
And then the HOW syndrome comes in and this is why so many stay at the same place over and over year after year. (ya'll the HOW is not supposed to be at the starting line with you, you don't have to KNOW HOW, you just have to trust yourself enough to take ONE step, do one action at a time… ask me how I know lol)
In order to make a decision and step into the definiteness of purpose, you have to work on the belief that if you have a desire inside of you and you can see IT in your mind, you truly can have it.
Sometimes that's enough right there. Just borrowing belief that it could be possible for you.
Ask yourself, where am I undecided? What decision can I make today that could potentially change everything for me?
Start there.
Right at that starting line.
If you need some belief to borrow, I got you.
I believe in you.
